Welcome!

Baan Itsara means "House of Freedom" in Thai.  It is a safe haven for exploited and hurting children.  It is a place where they can find unconditional love, stability and opportunities for a bright future.  Through the love of Christ the children are nurtured, helped to healing and encouraged to understand their own individual uniqueness and God-given qualities.

It is our intention to encourage the children to retain the culture that they were born into.  We believe keeping their cultural identity is an essential right.  This includes keeping their birth names.  Cultural aspects of their ethnicities which do not conflict with Biblical principles will continue to be a part of who they are.  The goal of our home is to raise responsible, respectful  individuals who form part of a strong ethnic community within the nation of Thailand who can share God's love practically and sensitively with others.

           Bringing Freedom to the Captives

              'Can plunder be taken
               from warriors,

               or captives rescued
from the fierce?'
               But this is what the Lord says:
              'Yes, captives will be taken from warriors,
               and plunder retrieved from the fierce;
               I will contend with those who contend with you,
               and your children I will save'

                                              Isaiah 49:24-25   NIV
